Still photography continues to excel almost 200 years after it's introduction. Motion imagery is great,
however, still imagery continues to fascinate its audience. Example being the explosion of the magazine
industry in the nineties, that continues today. The captured still image can be slowly admired and
dissected,. Could it be in our fast paced world we are mesmerized by something as subtle as a still
image ?

One of the fascinating things about people photography is that some subjects assume prematurely and
wrongly that they are not photogenic material. How exciting is it to exhibit to the doubtful subject that
with the skilled photographer the subject can indeed become an excellent photogenic subject. Some
subjects with the corresponding results have permanently acquired higher self-esteem and a new
sense of being.. Another example of the power of imagery.
